Former Arrowhead CEO Chris Walker named regional executive vp of Brown & Brown

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—Chris L. Walker has been elected regional executive vp of Daytona Beach, Fla.-based insurance brokerage Brown & Brown Inc.

In his new role, Mr. Walker will oversee all operations of Arrowhead General Insurance Agency Inc., a San Diego-based subsidiary of Brown & Brown. Mr. Walker had served as CEO of Arrowhead, which Brown & Brown acquired in a deal announced in December.

He reports to J. Hyatt Brown, Brown & Brown's chairman and acting president and CEO.

“In his position as the chief executive officer of Arrowhead, Chris has demonstrated the leadership skills, experience and dedication that are the hallmark of Brown & Brown's senior leadership team,” Mr. Brown said Tuesday in a statement. “The Arrowhead team, led by Chris, is a significant addition to the company’s national programs and services divisions, and we look forward to his participation in the continued expansion of our offerings and activities.”

Mr. Walker joined Arrowhead in 2003. Before that, he served as vice chairman of Aon Re.
