XL Group appoints CEO of international property/casualty insurance business

LONDON─XL Group P.L.C. has appointed Jason Harris as CEO of its international property/casualty insurance business.

Mr. Harris, who will be based in London, previously was executive director of commercial lines for the United Kingdom at Chartis Insurance U.K. Ltd., a unit of Chartis Inc.

“We are delighted to have the benefit of Jason’s broad skill-set and international industry experience,” Greg Hendrick, CEO of XL’s insurance business, said Monday in a statement. “Jason will play a critical role in continuing our momentum in the international region, where we are looking to consolidate and further expand our market presence in a broad range of mature and emerging markets,” he added.
