Help

BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Eight surplus lines company chief executives shaved their heads on stage this week to raise more than $700,000 in donations for childhood cancer research.

They were part of a team named “Expired Coverage” that they formed to raise money for St Baldrick's Foundation. The charity has recruited volunteers to shave their heads since 2000 as a way to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

Since 2000 nearly 200,000 volunteers, including women, have shaved their heads and raised more than $117 million.

Below is a video of the eight getting scalped on stage in Las Vegas during an annual AmWINS sales conference.

The Expired Coverage members include David Bresnahan, president, Lexington Insurance Co.; Dave Leonard, president, RSUI Group; Eduardo Lucena, CEO, Colemont Brazil; Frank Murphy, group CEO at THB Group plc; James Drinkwater, president, AmWINS Brokerage; John Charman, CEO, AXIS Capital; Scott Carmilani, CEO of Allied World Assurance Co.; and Skip Cooper, president of AmWINS Group, Inc.

Good work, team Expired Coverage!
