XL Group names CEO of Mexico insurance operations

MEXICO CITY—The insurance unit of XL Group P.L.C. has named Alvaro Salamanca as CEO of its operation in Mexico, the insurer announced Tuesday.

Previously, Mr. Salamanca was CEO of Mexican management consultancy Centro Continental de Consultoria 3C de Mexico S.C. Prior to that, he led the Colombian and Mexican subsidiaries of Chubb Corp. for more than 11 years.

Mr. Salamanca will be based in Mexico City.
