BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
LONDON—Martin South has been promoted to the new role of CEO of Marsh Europe, a unit of insurance brokerage Marsh Inc.
Mr. South, CEO of Marsh's U.K. and Ireland operations, will retain those responsibilities until a successor is found, Marsh said Monday in a statement.
Mr. South also will retain responsibility for Marsh's operations in India and Turkey.
The move is part of a reorganization of Marsh's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Marsh late last year announced that David Batchelor, formerly CEO of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, was appointed president of the brokerage's international division.
As part of the reorganization, Robert Makhoul, CEO of Marsh Middle East and North Africa, and Jurie Erwee, CEO of Marsh Africa, will report to Mr. Batchelor, as will Mr. South, Marsh said Monday.
Marsh said its EMEA operations have grown substantially in recent years thanks to acquisitions, among other things.
“In the current economic circumstances, companies across the continent face an unprecedented risk landscape,” Mr. South said in the statement. “It is our task to work with our clients to develop the solutions that help them face and overcome these challenges,” he said.
