BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
COLUMBIA, S.C.—Gwen Fuller McGriff has been named acting director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
Ms. McGriff succeeds David Black, who resigned without explanation Wednesday.
Mr. Black, a former president and CEO of Liberty Life Insurance Co., a Greenville, S.C.-based subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada, was appointed insurance director by South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in January.
Before she was named acting director of the department, Ms. McGriff previously was director of legal, legislative and external affairs for the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
