Hub International Ltd., has acquired the assets of Aurora, Ill.-based J.N. Morcos Insurance Agency Ltd., Chicago-based Hub announced Friday.
In a statement announcing the acquisition, Hub described Morcos as a full-service agency that offers property and casualty, personal lines and employee benefits insurance programs to a diversified customer base within the Chicago marketplace and beyond. “Their commercial lines clientele is primarily middle market businesses in the non-profit, municipality, professional services and construction industries,” said Hub in the statement. “This acquisition expands Hub Midwest’s expertise in these niche areas and provides many cross-sell opportunities to Morcos’ clients.”
Hub said that the Morcos team will relocate its office to Hub International Midwest Ltd.’s office in Westmont, Ill.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Later on Friday, Itasca, Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced that it had acquired Worksite Communications, Inc. in Tallahassee, Fla.
Worksite Communications is an employee benefits communication and enrollment firm, providing communication, education and enrollment services for both core and voluntary benefit programs to employee benefits brokers and their clients throughout the United States, said Gallagher in a statement announcing the acquisition. Gallagher said that Worksite Communications specializes in public and private sector employers and union organizations.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
