Poms & Associates names Dennis Healy to risk services post

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.—Poms & Associates Insurance Brokers Inc. has named Dennis Healy assistant director of risk services.

Mr. Healy, who has more than 20 years of risk management experience, previously was vp of human resources for Los Angeles Daily News as well as director of risk management for Los Angeles Newspaper Group, the Woodland Hills, Calif.-based insurance brokerage said Monday in a statement.

“Dennis is a dynamic management professional and brings critical decision-making skills that we sought out in a director,” David Poms, president of Poms & Associates, said in the statement. “We are excited to have him on our team.”

Mr. Healy also currently is the treasurer of the Los Angeles chapter of the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc.

He is based in Woodland Hills.
