Paddy Jago named chairman of Willis Re North America

NEW YORK—Paddy Jago has been appointed to the newly created position of Willis Re North America chairman, the reinsurance arm of the London brokerage Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. said Thursday.

Effective immediately, Mr. Jago takes direct responsibility for executing Willis Re’s growth plans for the United States. He retains his position as president of Willis Re with responsibility for global sales and growth. In a statement announcing Mr. Jago’s appointment, Willis said the action came in recognition of Willis Re’s “continued strong growth” in the United States.

Mr. Jago will remain a member of the Willis Re executive team, which includes Willis Re CEO Steve Hearn.

Willis Re had named Mr. Jago president and Jim Bradshaw CEO of its North America unit when it formed in late 2009.
