Huntington Insurance taps Wells Fargo exec as president

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Huntington Bancshares Inc. has named former Wells Fargo Insurance Services senior vp Paul Baldwin president of its insurance brokerage arm, Huntington Insurance Inc.

Mr. Baldwin, who previously was senior vp and regional managing director of Wells Fargo Insurance Services’ southwest region, brings more than 21 years of executive experience in commercial insurance brokerage, strategic planning, underwriting and market development, Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington said Tuesday in a statement.

Mr. Baldwin succeeds Huntington Insurance’s former president, Peter Dunlap, who was named National Sales Manager for Huntington Wealth Advisors.

“Paul brings extensive insurance leadership experience to Huntington, including sales management, insurance operations, business development, and client retention,” Mark Thompson, senior executive vp of Huntington Bank, said in the statement.
