BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AXIS names chief financial officer

PEMBROKE, BermudaAXIS Capital Holdings Ltd. said Monday that Albert Benchimol will join the company as its chief financial officer effective Jan. 17, 2011.

He succeeds David Greenfield, who has resigned effective at the end of this month.

Mr. Benchimol will join AXIS from PartnerRe Ltd., where he has been executive vp and CFO since 2000. In 2007, he took on the additional role of CEO of PartnerRe’s capital markets group.

He is retiring from PartnerRe effective Dec. 31 and will join Bermuda-based AXIS in mid-January.
