BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NEW YORK—Willis Re said Wednesday it has reorganized its structure and made a series of management changes in an effort to better leverage its talent and resources for its clients.

The reinsurance brokerage unit of London-based Willis Group Holdings Ltd. has combined its Willis Re International and Willis Re Specialty units into one new unit called Willis Re International and Specialty.

Chris Clark, former chief executive officer of Willis Re Specialty, and James Vickers, former chairman of Willis Re International, have been named chairmen of the combined unit. Jason Howard, former CEO of Willis Re International, has been appointed CEO.

Willis Re also has formed a new Willis Re North America unit, which “more closely aligns” Willis Re Inc. and Willis Re Bermuda, Willis said.

Jim Bradshaw, former executive vp and managing director of Willis Re in New York, has been named CEO of the North American unit. James Kent, former executive vp for Willis Re in Bermuda, has been named president of Willis Re North America and managing director of Willis Re Bermuda.

Paddy Jago, former CEO of Willis Re Inc., has been named president of parent Willis Re with responsibility for global sales and growth.

Willis Re also has unified its analytics and operational teams on a global basis, it said. In doing so, it named Rowan Douglas CEO of global analytics and Yves Provencher managing director of global analytics.
