Glencoe rebranded as RenRe Insurance

PEMBROKE, Bermuda—RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd.'s U.S. insurance business, which operates as Glencoe Group, is being renamed RenRe Insurance, the Pembroke, Bermuda-based reinsurer said Friday.

In a statement, RenaissanceRe Holdings said the rebranding initiative for the Plano, Texas-based operations “will enable the company's insurance operations to leverage the strength of the RenaissanceRe brand as the organization expands globally.” The name change took effect immediately.

Neill Currie, president and chief executive officer of RenaissanceRe Holdings, said in the statement that the change has “aligned our insurance operations more closely with our strong corporate brand.”
