BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

LONDONLondon-based brokerage Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ltd. has appointed Ian Thompson as a partner of its recently launched transport, engineering and water utilities industry practice group.

Mr. Thompson joins the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. subsidiary from London-based Network Rail Ltd., where he was head of group insurance. In his 13 years at Network Rail Mr. Thompson developed innovative insurance programs and managed a captive subsidiary as well as numerous major rail accidents, JLT said in a statement.

Mr. Thompson's experience of the rail sector is second to none and he is widely respected in the London insurance market, said Andy Bear, head of the new practice, in a statement.
