RLI to use CATEX's Pivot Point system for reinsurance underwriting processes

PEORIA, Ill.--Recently formed facultative reinsurer RLI Reinsurance will use the Catastrophe Risk Exchange Inc.'s Pivot Point Web-based reinsurance transaction system to manage its underwriting processes.

The reinsurance division, announced this summer by Peoria, Ill.-based RLI Corp., is based in Stamford, Conn., and will initially focus on writing property business.

The CATEX Pivot Point system is entirely Web-based and allows reinsurers to manage their entire placement, contract, claims, premium and accounting functions online in a real-time environment. The system also provides real-time management information tools that permit risk-bearing companies to review experience information and other data for specific clients or specific locations. IF
