Guy Carpenter's Bromley to join Aon Re

CHICAGO--Aon Corp. has named Geoffrey Bromley as head of Aon Re Global's United Kingdom, European, Middle East, African and Asia-Pacific operations.

Mr. Bromley most recently served as chairman of European and Asian operations for reinsurance intermediary Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C. in London. He assumes his new position, which has not been filled at Aon for several years, in February 2008. Mr. Bromley will be based in London.

Earlier this week, Chicago-based Aon named Ted T. Devine, formerly chief operating officer of Aon Risk Services Americas and head of global strategy for Aon Corp, as chief executive officer of Aon Re Global.

Mr. Devine replaces as CEO Michael D. O'Halleran, formerly Aon Re Global chairman and CEO, who has been named executive chairman of the reinsurance brokerage unit.
