UNIQA offers cover for solar power users

VIENNA, Austria— UNIQA Group Austria, based in Vienna, has launched a new line of insurance for private and commercial users of solar power.

UNIQA's new line of insurance, known as LUMIT, offers coverage for equipment damage, power disruption, and liability. Coverage is also available for installers and providers of solar power equipment, the company said.

LUMIT is offered to businesses and homeowners in Germany and Austria. UNIQA is also looking at it for the Italian market, particularly in the region of South Tyrol, a spokeswoman said.
