BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

III promotes Weisbart to chief economist

NEW YORK--Steven N. Weisbart, vp and economist for the Insurance Information Institute, has been named chief economist, III President Robert P. Hartwig announced Wednesday.

Mr. Weisbart, who joined the institute in 2005, succeeds Mr. Hartwig as chief economist effectively immediately. Mr. Hartwig was promoted to president of the III in January.

As chief economist, Mr. Weisbart will oversee the group's economic research and analysis program. He retains his vp title.
