Ensuring the active involvement of physicians and provider organizations in all aspects. Disclosing the methods for collecting and analyzing data to the organizations and physicians under review. Clearly identifying and acknowledging any limitations on the data sources used to develop profiles. Basing physician profiles on valid, accurate and objective data and using them primarily for educational purposes. Using standards-based norms derived from widely accepted, physician-developed practice parameters whenever possible. Sharing physician profiles and other information compiled with physicians under review.
