BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

RMIA awards risk technician certificate

CARLTON, Australia— The Risk Management Institution of Australasia has presented its first certified risk management technician award to a member of its Queensland chapter.

Beverley Cosgrove, manager of communications, risk and compliance at recruitment consultancy John Davidson & Associates, was awarded the certification by Grant Whitehorn, president of the Australian risk management body.

The CMRT certification was introduced last year by RMIA "as an accreditation for RMIA members who were operationally focused or in specialized areas of practice," the association said in a statement.

The CRMT designation was set up to complement RMIA's certified practicing risk manager accreditation, and can be used as a stepping stone to that accreditation, the statement said.
