PARIS Hamilton, Bermuda-based Catlin Group Ltd. has bolstered its aviation underwriting team with appointments in Paris and London.
The team will be headed up by new arrival Alain Burguiere, who will join Catlin in September from Paris-based aviation underwriting specialist La Reunion Aerienne where he was head of the underwriting team.
He will be based in Catlin's Paris office, which opened earlier this year, and report to Michael Hansen, who is responsible for Catlin's worldwide aerospace account.
Three new recruits will join the team's London office. LRA stablemate Antoine Lamy has joined the aviation underwriting team a class underwriter, and is to be joined by Peter Buckley, also as a class underwriter, from Lloyd's of London operation Beaufort Underwriting Agency Ltd.
David Hart will join as aviation wordings and technical support manager. He was most recently at London-based broker Heath Lambert Group.
