SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Scottsdale Insurance Co. and K&K Insurance Group Inc. have entered into a relationship to write property/casualty insurance business related to sports and motorsports programs.
Starting Aug. 1, Fort Wayne, Ind.-based K&K will write professional, amateur, intercollegiate and interscholastic sports risks as well as motorsports events, facilities and race teams with Scottsdale's admitted National Casualty Co.
Scottsdale said it sees the venture as providing an opportunity to enter a highly specialized niche business with a leader in that industry. K&K said it expects the relationship to benefit its customers.
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Scottsdale is a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.
K&K, a division of Aon Underwriting Managers, is a managing general underwriter that provides insurance products and services to the sports, leisure and entertainment industries.
