XL Capital names new CFO

HAMILTON, Bermuda--Brian W. Nocco has been appointed executive vp and chief financial officer of XL Capital Ltd.

Mr. Nocco, who will join Hamilton, Bermuda-based XL later this month, most recently served as chief risk officer of Nationwide Insurance Group. He will assume the CFO responsibilities from Fiona E. Luck.

Ms. Luck had been serving as XL's interim chief financial officer following the departure of former XL CFO Jerry M. de St. Paer, who earlier this year moved to New York-based American International Group Inc. Ms. Luck will continue in her role as XL's chief of staff.
