Zurich names global chief claims officer

ZURICH, Switzerland--Christian Orator has been appointed global chief claims officer of Zurich Financial Services Group, the company said Monday.

Mr. Orator, who currently heads special initiatives within the Zurich, Switzerland-based insurer's group chief administrative office, will move into his new role on Aug. 1. He succeeds Jane Tutoki, who has been tapped to serve as chief claims officer for the Zurich North America Commercial unit.

Mr. Orator will report to John Amore, chief executive officer of Zurich General Insurance.
