Eureko vice chair to retire

ZEIST, Netherlands— Eureko B.V., a privately-owned insurer headquartered in Zeist, announced Thursday that Ernst Jansen, vice chairman of the executive board, will retire on Oct. 1.

A member of the Eureko's board since 1992, Mr. Jansen has been responsible for Eureko´s companies outside of the Netherlands. He has concentrated recently on Eureko´s 33% stake in Polish insurer Powszechny Zakad Ubezpieczen, or PZU.

Gerard van Olphen will take over responsibility for Eureko´s international activities, the company said.

The composition of the executive board as of Oct. 1 will be: Maarten Dijkshoorn, chairman and chief executive officer, Huub Hannen, vice chairman, Gerard van Olphen, Willem van Duin, and Roel Wijmenga, chief financial officer.
