Khatib to be Lockton's Mid East, Africa CEO

LONDON— Wael Khatib has been named chief executive officer — Middle East and North Africa at Lockton International, a unit of Lockton Cos. Inc., and will lead the broker's expansion in those regions.

Mr. Khatib was former chief executive of Market Insurance Brokers in London. He will remain based in London in his new position.

"We have seen rapid growth in the business we are producing in the Middle East and North Africa and we intend to build on this base to become one of the leading brokers in the region," said Mike Hammond, executive chairman of London-based Lockton International, in a statement.
