IUA members ready to use electronic claims files

LONDON—A group of London insurance market companies will soon begin live use of electronic claims files, according to the International Underwriting Assn.

At the association's annual meeting, IUA chairman Stephen Riley said members were now ready to use electronic claims files after the completion of a pilot project.

The IUA, which represents London company market participants, also said it had submitted responses to the European Commission's competition inquiry into the business insurance sector, among other things.

The meeting took place in London on June 29.
