UAI names president, CEO

GEORGETOWN, Cayman Islands--United America Indemnity Ltd. said Larry A. Frakes has been appointed president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Frakes previously served as president and chief operating officer for the Cayman Islands-based company that provides specialty and excess and surplus lines coverages through its subsidiaries.

Mr. Frakes replaces Saul A. Fox as CEO, but Mr. Fox will remain as chairman of UAI's board of directors.

UAI's principal operating units include Hatboro, Pa.-based Penn-America Group Inc.; Bala Cynwyd, Pa.-based United National Group; and Bermuda-based Wind River Reinsurance Co.
