AXA Corporate Solutions to write space insurance

PARIS— AXA Corporate Solutions, part of Paris-based AXA S.A., is entering the space insurance market.

All space risks will be underwritten in Paris, and a space engineer will be added to the team by September.

In a statement, AXA said that, "the space book will be developed in line with the established strategy of promoting partnerships with brokers and clients, and a long-term outlook based on sound underwriting criteria and technical risk assessment to provide fair pricing."

AXA Corporate Solutions has a 40% share of the French aviation market and participates in the coverage of 90% of the world's airlines, according to the statement.
