To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Marsh Inc. CFO appointed

NEW YORK--Mark C. McGivney has been appointed chief financial officer of brokerage Marsh Inc.

Mr. McGivney most recently served as senior vp, finance, corporate treasurer and CFO for Hanover Insurance Group's property/casualty business. In his new role, Mr. McGivney succeeds Jerome Bailey, who left the company last year. Mr. McGivney will be responsible for a staff of 1,000 worldwide.

In a statement, Brian Storms, chairman and chief executive officer of New York-based Marsh, said: "Mark is a dynamic leader with tremendous integrity and a proven track record. He brings us a broad array of experience in all areas of finance, including treasury, mergers and acquisitions, rating agency relationships, internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley."
