S&P event draws 650

NEW YORK--Attendance held steady for Standard & Poor's Corp.'s annual insurance industry conference. Approximately 650 attendees gathered June 3-5 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York.

This year's conference theme was "In Pursuit of Sustainable Earnings."

During the course of the event, nearly 60 industry executives, insurance industry experts and S&P analysts spoke about a range of topics, from terrorism risks and merger and acquisition activity to enterprise risk management and insurance-linked securities.

The conference will return to New York in June 2008, with exact dates and site to be determined.
