Euclid offers MPL liability policy

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Euclid Managers L.L.C., an underwriting manager and claim administrator for Internet, tech, media and manufacturing professional liability, is offering a miscellaneous professional liability insurance product for service professionals.

BusinessWare offers several professional liability coverages on one policy form, including errors and omissions, copyright and trademark infringement, defamation, security coverage for Internet/tech network activities, and privacy and other personal injury coverages.

The policy covers business services performed for others and activities performed on the insured's Web site. Coverage for BusinessWare is provided by Hudson Insurance Group. For a list of the businesses eligible for BusinessWare, go to www.euclidmanagerskc.com.

The BusinessWare minimum premium starts at $1,500 and the minimum retention is $2,500. Up to $5 million in limits is available. The product is available on an admitted basis in New Jersey and New York and on a nonadmitted basis in all other states.

AIG Environmental enhances EAGLE program

NEW YORK—AIG Environmental, a unit of American International Group Inc., has enhanced its EAGLE program for environmental and general liability exposures.

EAGLE now provides a standard per-location general aggregate limit, covers newly acquired entities up to 180 days, and has upgraded the general liability coverages to include broad form named insured and additional insured coverages.

EAGLE is a customizable insurance policy, providing industry standard general liability coverage as well as several environmental coverage options for fixed-site facility businesses that have operations, processes or products that present an environmental exposure.

In addition, EAGLE offers customizable environmental coverages that include: blanket insured property coverage for sudden and accidental pollution events that occur within a seven-day period and are reported within 21 days; on and off-site coverage for bodily injury and property damage; coverage for off-site cleanup for both new and pre-existing conditions from scheduled insured properties; pollution coverage for scheduled nonowned and nonoperated locations, including disposal sites, products pollution, pollution conditions from transported cargo and miscellaneous contractors pollution coverage on an occurrence basis; microbial matter; and coverage for unknown underground storage tanks.

As part of the environmental coverage, natural resource damage is included in the definition of property damage within the policy form.

The new EAGLE coverage offers $25 million in limits and is available in all 50 states and Canada.

Lexington increases builders risk capacity

NEW YORK—Lexington Insurance Co., a member company of American International Group Inc., has increased capacity for builders risk insurance to $100 million from $50 million.

The full builders risk capacity is accessible through Lexington or through AIG Construction Solutions, the AIG practice that provides a central point of contact for domestic brokers and agents placing any construction business with any member companies of AIG.

Chubb offers program for educational liability

WARREN, N.J.—Chubb Corp. has developed a modular insurance policy to help protect not-for-profit educational institutions and their directors and officers from the financial consequences of litigation and other losses.

Forefront Portfolio for Not-For-Profit Educational Institutions offers up to five coverage sections: directors and officers and entity liability, including educators errors and omissions liability; employment practices liability; fiduciary liability; crime; and kidnap/ransom and extortion insurance.

The policy is customized for not-for-profit primary and secondary schools and is available in 45 states and the District of Columbia.

Institutions may select a separate limit for each coverage section they purchase or an aggregate limit. Employment practices liability insurance customers have access to online EPL loss prevention services.

Forefront Portfolio is designed to complement Chubb's products for the not-for-profit educational market, including property, boiler and machinery, general liability, commercial automobile, workers compensation, umbrella/excess and environmental insurance.
