Willis Group Holdings Ltd. has named Mark A. Lynch executive vp of the Philadelphia office of Willis Risk Solutions. Most recently, he was a managing director for Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.

Insurers:

Richmond, Va.-based World Access Inc. has named Tony Spear director of sales for medical assistance. Previously, he was a regional sales director at International SOS.

Bob Lund, who had been vp and general counsel of Minneapolis-based SFM Mutual Insurance Co. since 1998, has been chosen as the workers compensation insurer's new president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Pat Johnson, who retired.

MassMutual International L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., has named Ricardo Calderon, most recently vp and associate general counsel in its corporate law division, as senior managing director and chief operating officer.

Also at MassMutual, John Miller Jr. was appointed senior managing director and will continue as chief financial officer.

And Yek Cheng, formerly senior vp and CFO of MassMutual Mercuries Life Insurance Co. Ltd., has been named senior managing director and chief risk officer and actuary for MassMutual International.

New York Life International L.L.C., the international arm of New York Life Insurance Co., has named Allan Roney president and representative director for its wholly owned Korean subsidiary, New York Life Insurance Ltd. Previously, Mr. Roney was a partner in a financial services management-consulting firm he co-founded.

Managed care:

San Francisco-based Blue Shield of California has named Dr. Alan Sokolow senior vp and chief medical officer. Previously, he was chief medical officer at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Other providers:

Cozen O'Connor P.C. said James F. Campise and David Y. Loh have joined the firm's New York office as members. Both will focus on claims and litigation arising from transportation issues--including ocean marine, inland marine and cargo--and international losses and risk. Both previously were partners at Nicoletti Hornig Campise & Sweeney.

Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Hewitt Associates Inc. has made several senior-level appointments:

c Jay C. Rising has been named president of human resources outsourcing business. Previously, he was president of field operations at RightNow Technologies.

c Steven N. Fein has been appointed to the new post of sales and product strategy leader. Most recently, he was global managing director of strategy, marketing and product management for Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

c Julie S. Gordon has been appointed to the new position of president of client and market leadership. Previously, she was acting president of HR outsourcing.

c Tracy S. Keogh was named senior vp of human resources, succeeding Steve King, who retires in June. Previously, she was global head of HR for Bloomberg L.P.

St. Paul, Minn.-based pharmacy benefit manager Prime Therapeutics has named Kim Mageau chief operating officer. Before her promotion, she was CFO.
