ACE forms M&A unit

PHILADELPHIA--ACE USA has formed a new practice dedicated to providing underwriting and risk management services to the mergers and acquisitions industry.

The ACE USA Mergers & Acquisitions Industry Practice--a Philadelphia-based unit of ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of insurer ACE Ltd.--will offer insurance coverage and risk management services to buyers and sellers of organizations as they navigate the M&A transaction process, ACE said in a statement.

Among other things, products and services available through the practice include: general liability, products liability, directors and officers liability, professional liability, environmental liability, workers compensation and catastrophe modeling and claims solutions.

Seth Gillston, senior vp of ACE Financial Solutions, has been named to lead the new practice. He will continue in his current role and will report to Matt Merna, executive vp of the financial solutions unit, and Christopher A. Maleno, president of ACE USA Regional Operations.
