BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AI Risk Specialists rolls out diagnostic radiology cover

NEW YORK—AI Risk Specialists Insurance Inc., a Boston-based member company of American International Group Inc., has introduced AI Risk Radiology Solution, a portfolio of insurance coverages written to address the risks of diagnostic radiology facilities.

The program offers customized insurance policies for the distinct needs of diagnostic radiology providers, which include but are not limited to:

  • Property insurance, which can be extended to include equipment breakdown insurance. • Individual, primary general and professional liability insurance limits.

  • Workers compensation insurance underwritten on a guaranteed cost basis.

Radiology Solutions also offers policyholders additional risk management services to assess exposures, address compliance issues and avoid claims.

For more information on the program, contact Daniel McGinnis, director of health care, at 212-770-1172 or daniel.mcginnis@aig.com.

Liberty Mutual cover targets food processing industry

BOSTON—Liberty Mutual Property, part of the Liberty Mutual Group, is offering a comprehensive product that combines insurance coverage and service for the food processing industry.

RM Custom Select addresses accidental contamination, malicious and intentional tampering, and public health and safety issues in food distribution.

RM Custom Select also addresses a common coverage gap found in the market: testing of a food product exposed to malicious or intentional tampering that shows no direct physical damage but is declared unfit for its intended use.

The coverage also offers enhanced protection for contaminated food products, food product recalls and spoilage of perishable food products in transit.

The service component of RM Custom Select includes preloss claims consultations to review policy language and explain how the policy would respond in certain loss scenarios.

RM Custom Select is an endorsement to Boston-based Liberty Mutual Property's all-risk commercial property coverage.

iJet Intelligent Risk Systems enhances expat program

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—iJET Intelligent Risk Systems has enhanced its Worldcue Expatriate Risk Management program. New technology and features improve the ability of organizations to find and communicate with their expatriates and families, whether at their assigned work location or on travel.

Designed to address the risk management requirements of protecting employees and their families stationed abroad for long-term assignments, the system provides expatriates and their employers with updates on changing world events--from terrorism and civil unrest to transportation disruptions and severe weather--to help mitigate threats and bolster expatriate safety and productivity.

Enhancements to Worldcue Expatriate Risk Management include:

  • Enhanced tracking capabilities that enable employers to better protect expatriates and their families during business or personal travel. In addition to automated trip tracking, expatriates can now manually register noncommercial flights such as those on military or private aircraft.

  • Flexible reporting options accelerate notification and communication by allowing employers to quickly access current and historical expatriate assignment information.

  • Expanded emergency profiles provide employers greater flexibility over the information collected from expatriates and their families, from information about health conditions, pets and vehicles to images (such as headshots), copies of passports or dental records. This ensures immediate access to critical information required in the event of an emergency.

The program is offered as a stand-alone product or as a module within the company's Worldcue Global Control Center, an integrated intelligence and technology platform that relates global threats to an organization's people and assets worldwide. Expatriate Risk Management can be enhanced with access to an emergency hotline in the event that expatriates and families require special assistance.
