Willis Re opens Seattle branch, expands network

SEATTLE—Willis Re, the reinsurance intermediary of insurance broker Willis Group Holdings Ltd., has opened a new branch in Seattle.

Willis said the new office represents the company's continuing effort to drive organic business growth and expand its network.

Doug May, who was appointed executive vp, will manage the Seattle office. Prior to joining Willis, Mr. May was a managing director at Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C. in Seattle.

Willis said opening the Seattle office specifically improves the intermediary's position for business expansion in the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast in general.
