Integro building wholesale, reinsurance operation

NEW YORK—Brokerage Integro Ltd. has recruited Ron Whyte and Julian Samengo-Turner to build its wholesale and facultative reinsurance business.

Both join from Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C., the reinsurance brokerage of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., where they jointly led GC Fac Worldwide.

A spokeswoman for New York-based Integro said that about half of the staff for the new operation will be in London, with the rest working in Integro's other offices worldwide.

Integro was established in May 2005 by industry veterans Robert Clements, Roger Egan and Peter Garvey. The brokerage established its London operation, Integro Insurance Brokers Ltd., in 2005 when it acquired Humphreys Haggas Sutton & Co.
