Willis names general counsel

NEW YORK--Willis Group Holdings Ltd. has named Adam Ciongoli as general counsel.

Mr. Ciongoli, who most recently was law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., also has served as senior vp and general counsel for TimeWarner Europe and as a special consultant to the New York Police Department, among other positions.

He replaces Eric Dinallo, who left the London-based brokerage after being nominated in December to serve as New York's insurance superintendent.
