JLT forms cell companies

LONDON—Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. is rebranding its captive management operations as it forms two new cell companies.

The newly named JLT Insurance Management is setting up Isosceles PCC Ltd., a protected cell company in Guernsey, and Isosceles Ltd., a segregated account insurer in Bermuda.

"The legal structure of these companies offers considerable flexibility and can be used in many different ways to assist our clients," said Nick Wild, London-based executive chairman (ex Americas) of JLT Insurance Management, in a statement.

JLT Insurance Management said it plans to expand its services into alternative risk transfer vehicles, including sidecars, transformers and special purpose vehicles.
