NEW YORK--H. Elizabeth Mitchell has been named the 2007 Insurance Woman of the Year by the Assn. of Professional Insurance Women.
Ms. Mitchell has served as president of Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance Inc. since August 2005. Prior to Ms. Mitchell's appointment as president, she held the position of chief operating officer and executive vp of Platinum US.
Ms. Mitchell will be honored by the APIW at a ceremony June 14 in New York.
Corbette Doyle, chief diversity officer of Aon Corp. and chair of its national health care practice, was the APIW's 2006 Insurance Woman of the Year.
