MAPFRE opens in Poland

WARSAW, Poland—MAPFRE ASISTENCIA, a multinational insurance and reinsurance company based in Madrid , Spain , has opened an office in Warsaw to serve the Polish market, the company announced Friday.

The new office in Poland increases the company's international presence and is the first step towards entering the East European market, the company said in a new release.

The MAPFRE subsidiary will mainly distribute products in its special risks business line relating to pecuniary loss insurance.

MAPFRE ASISTENCIA provides its services throughout Europe and has offices in Belgium , Italy , France , Hungary , Russia , Portugal , Greece , and Germany.
