Whitehorn takes up RMIA helm

CARLTON, Australia—Grant Whitehorn has been appointed president of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia Ltd.

Mr. Whitehorn, director of enterprise risk management with the Department of Defence in Canberra, replaces Kevin Knight.

Mr. Knight has stepped down from the RMIA presidency to allow him more time to focus on his work with Standards Australia and the International Organisation for Standardisation, where he has been involved in the development of risk management standards, RMIA said in a statement.

"I am honored to be asked by my fellow directors to lead RMIA as we take the organization forward in line with our corporate strategy," said Mr. Whitehorn in a statement.
