Swiss Re completes Gherkin sale

LONDON—Swiss Reinsurance Co. has completed the sale of its London office building, 30 St. Mary Axe, the company announced.

Swiss Re said it would remain a principal tenant of the building for the "foreseeable future."

The 41-story building, nicknamed the "Gherkin", has been sold to an affiliate of German real estate corporation IVG Immobilien A.G. for £600 million ($1.17 billion).
