ACE European expands IT security policy

LONDON—ACE European Group has launched an expanded information technology hardware and network security policy, ComputerGuardPlus, available exclusively online.

The policy, which includes coverage for losses resulting from hacking, Web site defacement, denial-of-service attacks and viruses, is being offered through the SSP Sector and Acturis broker platforms.

ComputerGuardPlus combines ACE's existing ComputerGuard policy, which provides all-risk coverage on IT equipment, with coverage for financial losses as a result of crime or accidental damage to data and systems. Brokers can obtain quotes, bind coverage and organize midterm policy adjustments directly online.

London American offers utility district program

HOUSTON—London American Risk Specialists Inc. in Houston is offering a comprehensive utility district program targeting companies serving 75,000 or fewer customers.

The program is open to utility suppliers providing one or more of the following services: electric distribution, gas distribution, water distribution, sewage/waste water systems or electric generating plants.

The policy can be tailored to meet a client's needs for commercial general liability, auto, property, inland marine and umbrella coverage.

Limits up to $1 million per occurrence and $2 million in aggregate are available for CGL. Auto limits of up to $1 million are available. Property and inland marine limits vary by class and location, and umbrella limits are set as needed.

National Union program covers financial institutions

NEW YORK—National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., has introduced Financial Institutions Risk Protector, a package of management and professional liability insurance coverages for privately held financial institutions.
