XL appoints leader for Benelux region

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands— XL Insurance Co. Ltd., part of Bermuda-based XL Capital Ltd.'s insurance operations, has appointed Erik Harkoren as regional manager for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

He will be based in Amsterdam, and is active on a number of working committees of the Dutch Insurance Association.

Mr. Harkoren was previously director of Allianz Global Risks in the Netherlands, leading the management and development of the Dutch operation across all lines of business.
