AMERICAN BANKERS ASSN. DRAWS 400 TO ANNUAL GATHERING

More than 400 bankers, brokers and insurers attended the 2007 American Bankers Assn. Insurance Risk Management Annual Conference in Naples, Fla., from Jan. 21-24.

The conference featured workshops for both large and small banks, offering risk managers insights on a wide range of topics, including directors and officers insurance, catastrophic coverage, enterprise risk management and international insurance plans.

The keynote speaker was Juval Aviv, president and chief executive officer for Interfor Inc., a New York-based firm that provides domestic and international intelligence services. Mr. Aviv has more than 30 years of experience in corporate and terrorism investigations and helped lead investigations into the Enron scandal. Mr. Aviv talked about corporate fraud, identity theft and terrorism.
