XL's Kyrill losses will be $60 million to $75 million

HAMILTON, Bermuda— XL Capital Ltd. said its pretax net loss from Winter Storm Kyrill is estimated to be between $60 million and $75 million.

The Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said the majority of its Kyrill-related losses are expected to come from its reinsurance arm.

The storm hit Northern and Western Europe on January 18 and 19.
