BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NEW YORK--Thomas L. Elliott III, a longtime executive at Arthur Andersen L.L.P. and later at Unisys Corp., has been named to the newly created position of chief operating officer, consulting practices, at Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

Prior to joining Mercer, Mr. Elliott, 49, served as president of Unisys' Global Commercial Industries business unit. Between 1980 and 2002, Mr. Elliott held various positions at Arthur Andersen, rising to executive managing partner. In 2002, he joined BearingPoint Inc. as an executive vp, where he oversaw the integration of Andersen's global business consulting practice into BearingPoint's.

Mr. Elliott, who will be based in New York, reports to M. Michele Burns, who joined Mercer last year as its CEO. Mercer is the world's largest benefit consultant based on revenues, according to Business Insurance's annual ranking of employee benefit consultants (BI, Dec. 11, 2006).
