BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Horbelt honored for runoff efforts

EAST RUTHERFORD, New JerseyOliver J. Horbelt, president and chief executive officer of Centre Solutions (Bermuda) Ltd., has been recognized for his contributions to the runoff insurance industry with the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies' runoff person of the year award.

Mr. Horbelt has been at Centre Solutionsa runoff unit of Zurich Financial Services Groupsince 2003, and in his current role since August 2005.

Among other things, Mr. Horbelt is credited with overseeing one of the largest-ever reinsurance and structured finance runoff programs. When it discontinued operations in 2002, Centre's in-force book of business had more than $11 billion in assets.

Mr. Horbelt received the award during AIRROC's second annual conference, held in conjunction with Cavell Management Services Ltd., to facilitate networking of runoff industry executives. The conference was held at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel & Conference Center in East Rutherford, N.J., Oct. 16-18, 2006.
