James to leave Lloyd's and join Lockton

LONDON—Julian James, director of worldwide markets, will leave Lloyd's of London in April to become an executive chairman of broker Lockton Cos. International Ltd.

Mr. James will take up the newly created position of executive chairman of Lockton's international operations, the company said in a statement.

Mr. James has been at Lloyd's for nine years, and previously served as head of the market's North America business unit.

In addition, Lockton International—formerly Alexander Forbes International Risk Services which was acquired by Kansas City, Mo.-based Lockton Inc. from Alexander Forbes Ltd. earlier this year—announced three other appointments.

Chris Brown will join the broker as head of its corporate risk solutions division in June.

Mr. Brown previously was responsible for Marsh Inc.'s European risk management (major accounts) practice.

Paul Jack will join Lockton Tuesday as chairman of its international division.

Mr. Jack previously was managing director of JLT Re, the reinsurance arm of London-based broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C.

And Neil Nimmo will join Lockton in June as executive chairman of its professional and financial risks division. Mr. Nimmo most recently was chief executive of the U.K. FINPRO division of Marsh.
